The Obstetrics is a branch of medicine and surgery concerned with childbirth. And the obstetrics nursing is also known as perinatal nursing. Nursing specialty that works with the patients who are attempted to become pregnant, are currently pregnant, or have recently delivered. Obstetrical nurses should provide the prenatal care and testing, care of patients experiencing pregnancy complications, care during labor and delivery, and care of patients following delivery. Obstetrical nurses should work closely with obstetricians, and the nurse practitioner, they should also provide the supervision for patient care technicians and surgical technologists.
